Im here to telling a little my opinion about articel "Semantics Basic Ideas In Semantics (Sentences, Utterance, and Proposition) by Nina Apriska.
Honestly first time i found this articel on Academia.edu, i think this articel may so hard to be understand and looks so boring but i try to read this articel and i think this articel interesting.
So thanks for Author, this articel useful for me to get a new knowledge about semantics.
But like others articel, this articel has a weakness too, but its okay because nothing is perfect!
Okay back our topic, this articel is telling about basic of semantics.

Semantics is one branch of Linguistic.
As we known, semantics has a friends (others branch of Linguistic) called, Syntax (study about how combaine phrase and sentences). Morphology (formating and compotition words), Pragmatics and Semantics (study about meaning), and Phonology (study about sound system and abstract sound units).

Author opine, "Semantics it self denotes a range ideas" and the formal study of semantics interesct by other field of inquiry, including, lexicon, syntax, pragmatics, and others.
Semantics often connected with syntax, study about symbol language (without meaning) and pragmatics (study of relationship between symbols language.
because of that semantics often called complex study language. Hyponim, synonim, antonym, polysemy, panonym, hypemymy and hyponymy are connected with semantics.
Author also reveal, sentences, utterance, and proposition are connected with semantics. as we know good sentences always full of grammar. grammar is like string for sentences and utterance sometimes called sentences but the different is utterance is spoken and sometimes everyone spoken without care about the grammar, but the its no problem for listener if the speaker talk without grammar, because they can understand that.

Author give the example too :
1. The plane now arriving is Garuda Airlines
2. A : what it is ?      B : horses
3. Hufftt

Number one is clear sentences and we can hear that in airport.
Number two is unclear sentences, because the right answer by grammar is "They are horses", but if someone ask you by utterance and you answer that like example they will be understand.
Number three is utterance because if read that we can imagine someone feel tiredness but we cant say that a example for sentences

sometimes so many people get mistake and said "we must talk with grammar", but Carter and Cornbleet "we dont set out to speak in sentence".

Proposition is part of utterance.

In these two sentences, the speaker asserted proposition. The relation among sentences, utterances and

proposition is not direct as sense andmeaning, but there is a similarity.
for example :
1. could you mind to close the door, please?
2. close the door now!

number one and two are same meaning but number one more soft than number two. thats all make by proposition.
what a relation between proposition and sentence?
Proposition : 
1. Jack has a girl friend
2. Her name is Jane
3. Jane is a nurse
4. Jane loved oranges

Sentence : 
1. Jack's girl friend, Jane who is a nurse, and loved oranges.

Weakness form this articel :
Author not explain more about Hyponim, synonim, antonym, polysemy, panonym, hypemymy and hyponymy.
Author not explain more about inquiry, including, lexicon, syntax, pragmatics, and others.
Need more examples.

Advantages from this articel :
Language easy to understand.
Author show the basic basic from semantics.

Conclusion :
Sentences, Utterance, and Proposition are connected, and when learn english language dont afraid about grammar, and dont shame to speak in english language, altough you have a bad grammar.
